As an agent sent by the council, Harpe was to keep watch on Ronan as a spy, but as time passed, Harpe was influenced by Ronan’s unwavering chivalry. Harpe, disappointed at the corrupt council, severed his ties with the council.

One day, Ronan, disappointed at his family, took off and disappeared. In Ronan’s absence, the council stepped forward to strengthen its hold on the family, but no one was able to step up as the successor except Harpe Noir, who succeeded Ronan in upholding the chivalric values.

As the top knight of the kingdom, Harpe vowed to expel the darkness of the council aimed at Ronan. With his true intentions kept under the table, Harpe takes his place under the council. Although he may fall into the darkness, he swears to keep his position until the true protector of the kingdom returns.
