• Dislikes: Things that grab attention, stimulating food Shisahwi. As the previous Master of Weapon Arts, he took in as a disciple one of the young attendants who had been serving the Silver Oracle. It was an unexpected decision, made at a time when he was meant to be choosing a successor, and many were puzzled by it. But that doubt did not last long.

The attendant who once held a broom to sweep the courtyard now took up a staff instead. When Iyoung began practicing staff techniques under Shisahwi’s guidance, everyone had no choice but to understand. Not only with the staff, but whenever Shisahwi placed another weapon in her hands, Iyoung would wield it flawlessly, as if to prove herself. Even the other instructors of the Silver Knights admitted that Shisahwi had found a gem in his later years. Iyoung’s talent for the martial arts was unparalleled.

Though she had begun her training later than the others, Iyoung quickly surpassed the rest of the disciples. Among those her age, only Jin, her senior disciple who was one year younger, could stand as her equal.

When Shisahwi named Iyoung as the next Master of Weapon Arts before his passing, all agreed with his decision. Only Shisahwi closed his eyes with regret, lamenting that there was one thing he had never managed to teach her. Inheriting the lineage surname Shisa, the ancestral name of the Weapon Arts patriarch, Iyoung ascended to the position of Master under the name Shisamoo.

And when she first stood before her own disciples, she finally realized what it was her master had been unable to teach her. She had become a perfect weapon master, but she had never learned how to become a great teacher. No matter how flawless her demonstrations were, her disciples could only watch in awe, never daring to imitate her.

When she understood that her own genius had become an insurmountable wall to her students, Iyoung felt a distant ache. Yet soon she recalled the warm gaze Shisahwi had once turned upon her. Adjusting her grip on the staff and lowering herself to meet her disciples at their level, she resolved to do her best not only as a master of weapons but as a teacher as well.
