The Spirit King, despite the sacrifice, chose to unleash her wrath upon Eryuell Island, sinking it into the depths of the ocean. The only survivor was Lire, who was offered up as a sacrifice.

With no place to return, no precious ones alive, and all memories tarnished, Lire falls into despair. Alone in the world, with no one left to avenge, this is not salvation, but a curse.
