The demons who emerged victorious from the Ancient War entered the Renaissance period. The Hardliners led the Demon World at the start, but quickly fell into internal conflict for power. As the Hardliners fell apart, the leader of Moderates, Werner, naturally gained power. As the demons bent to his rule, Werner soon became 『Supreme Demon King』. This led Dio to be placed on the pedestal as the Demon Prince. Dio soon began to take the respect of others for granted.
