One day, he saw himself on television. The person on screen seemed so different that it was hard to recognize him as the same individual, yet it was undeniably Myst. The person on the television appeared to be observing him from the outside as if he were a character trapped within the screen. Feeling unsettled, Myst turned off the television and noticed that the outlet was unplugged. He realized that the person on the screen was ‘real’ in a different sense. Myst recognized that the manipulation of reality had altered both the world and himself, and he wished to return the world to its original, untouched form—one that existed only within the television.
