But when the Ancient Demons rebelled against the Creator and no longer fulfilled their sacred duty of destruction, the Creator punished them and created the New Demons to fulfill their duties. To avoid repeating the mistakes of the Ancient Demons, the Creator instilled the desire to destroy into the New Demons, and as a result, those possessed by the desire to destroy unleashed their urges upon the world. Those who engage in excessive destruction are known as ‘Hardliners’, while those who only destroy by the Creator’s oracle are known as ‘Moderates’.

Initially, Hardliners far outnumbered the Moderates. He hated the pretenders who pretended to be intelligent creatures and suppressed their desire for destruction, and he hated the powerless beasts whose only desire was to mindlessly destroy. The demons of today are being corrupted, just as the Ancient Demons have been. The demons are no longer worthy of their sacred duty of destruction. Veigas made no secret of his thoughts at the meeting of the Terre and was convinced by their weak response. That day, every member of the Terre fell prey to the snake a purple-haired demon raised.
